The purpose of making this project to find the real time solar generation & electric consumption of of grid tied solar system of 85kwp. First of all step down the 3phase voltage using voltage divider circuit using voltage sensor that sense the voltage than connect this sensor to ADS (analog to digital converter) then interface with pi module and display on lcd. Now step down current by using CT (current transformer) 100:5 .The ADS convert the analog signal of the current is converted in to digital signal and interface with pi after processing the data will show on lcd .Now save the data with the gap of 15 minute and retrieved data at any time.
Project ObjectivesOBJECTIVE:
Design and implement the monitoring system/data logger for grid tied solar system which is able to measure/record the following:
- Instantaneous generated power from solar inverter
- Instantaneous consumed power by the electrical loads
- Instantaneous power supplied/consumed to/from the grid.
IMPLEMENTATION METHOD:
- First of all analyze the system
- Analyze the system parameters
- Installation of voltage and current measuring modules
- Using raspberry pi controller and accessing the parameters on it and its installation beside the distribution box (DB) .
- Display real time parameters of the system on LCD
- Recording of the data on suitable memory
- Retrieving of the same data on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Data analysis and its verification.
APPLICATION:
There are many applications such as:
- Maximum solar energy can be utilized if we have fair idea of power consumed in electrical load.
- In net metering based solar systems, the recorded values by the bi-directional energy meter can be counter verified.
- The electrical load vs time graphs can be made and electrical load can be managed efficiently.
- Fair idea about the electrical load can be obtained.
- The burden on main power line can be determined instantaneously
