RTIP-SBG is a real-time Image processing system for detecting obstacles such as staircases, cars, etc., and gives directions to the user to travel from place to place using the camera (Rather mobile phone camera or any other option). RTIP-SBG will warn of the obstacles on the road to the user. RTIP-SBG will aid the user when required. The mobile camera input is enough to commence the processing. The RTIP-SBG will help the user navigate through obstacles indoors and outdoors, RTIP-SBG will also guide the user on how many steps he/she should move forward, backward, left, or right. As English is a bit difficult for some people, so we will also be adding Urdu to assist the user. Our goal is to help blind people by providing them with an easy, user-friendly application to make their lives easier. There are many benefits of using our software. It is straightforward to access since everyone has an android mobile nowadays, so it is easily accessible to everyone. It provides a multi-language user experience to the user, which makes using this RTIP-SBG much easier.
RTIP-SBG is our project's name, which is to be developed by our team. The software will run on an android mobile phone. RTIP-SBG will consist of two interconnected parts which will be run concurrently. These parts are Image Processing and Voice Recognition. They will wait for commands from the user; when an obstacle appears in front of the camera, it will instantly alert the user through voice notification. Regular users will also be able to use this RTIP-SBG. The RTIP-SBG is a real-time system that detects and identifies obstacles and giving warnings to the user. The RTIP-SBG aims to help the blind person to get through every day's problems quickly. Since all the needed data will be statically or dynamically stored on the RTIP-SBG, there is no need for an external database. The RTIP-SBG uses Haar-Cascade, BLOB, and SURF algorithms for object detection. There is no need for any login information or password to use the RTIP-SBG. The user cannot use RTIP-SBG during nighttime or in dim light.
