our project is a drone based android messaging application which will allow people or rescue teams travelling in disastrous areas where internet connectivity is not available The drone will provide a zone for the users allowing them to connect and communicate via messaging or share files and location with other users in the zone.
The basic idea of this project is to provide users a secure and easy way of contacting in
disastrous and remote areas where there is no means of communication. It can also be used
for tracking people that are sent individually for research purposes in remote areas to keep
track of their location and prevent any mishap.
The project being proposed here is an android application which will register users and create
their profiles. It will be using a drone as center service point and the application will detect
the drone via Wi-Fi signals. The peers (users) shall then locate the drones nearby and display
the users already connected in the session of his choice of drone. A connection will then be
established among the user and the drone and then he would be able to communicate through
message chat box with other users in that network. The app will also allow to share the
location of the users with their permission. It would also give a limit for the maximum users
to be connected through one drone. This will create a network of users on small scale without
the need of costly and huge hardware.
We are using waterfall method for project implementation.
This project will have a vast business scope as there is no such thing introduced in market before.
It can be used by government during disaster recovery process and it can also be used by media
channels for communication during coverage of events. it can be helpful for groups that go on
tours and wild life expeditions at place where chances of low network signal issue can be a
hurdle and can also be useful to them on keeping track of each member of the group and
a drone attached with as esp32 wifi microcontroller and a messaing application. drone will have a max flight time of around 15 minutes.
