Programmed Analysis of Turbine Cooling Techniques
It is basically a comparative study of various techniques employed for turbine cooling and development of computer code incorporated through a software or application to compare the performance of at least two different cooling techniques (i.e. convection, film, transpiration cooling, cooling effusion, pin fin cooling) to enhance the output and performance of the turbine. The computer program will be able to determine which cooling technique will be suitable for the given input conditions by displaying different performance curves. It will also compare the different performance parameters including efficiency, power output, and cost effectiveness. The software will also give a design to incorporate the cooling techniques on the turbine to give enhanced results.

The program will be able to determine which cooling technique will be suitable for the given input conditions by displaying different performance curves. It will also compare the different performance parameters including efficiency, power output, and cost effectiveness to give enhanced results.
Our main focus in this project will be evaluating different parameters which will determine the performance of the turbine under particular operating conditions using a suitable cooling technique. We will be focusing on the characteristic parameters of different cooling techniques which will varied and compared to the other cooling technique to find the best one. Our program will require input of turbines specifications such as inlet temperature, blade size, power generated, and its industrial use. Then for the given specifications, we will perform detailed analysis on the cooling techniques under consideration. For example, if we are performing analysis in pin-fin cooling, we will determine the size of the pins required within the turbine blade, we will account for the turbulence in coolant flow accompanied with pressure drop, also we will consider the heat dissipation efficiency for that technique.
