Project Area of Specialization Computer ScienceProject SummaryWe are building this system in order to facilitate the farmers by providing them the exact amount of water required for their crops at each stage. The system will take temperature, hujmidity, elevation, soil properties of the current location, crop norms and will calculate the exact amount of crop water requirements. So if the farmer will irrigate his land with the exact amount of water, he will get more yield and roductivity. There are different methods to calculate the crop water requirements. We will use Penman Monteith Equation.
Project Objectives1.To facilitate farmers by providing them the exact water requirements for their crops at each stage in order to grow their crops optimally.
2.To provide the correct and accurate readings to farmer according to current temperature, humidity, soil type and crop norms.
3.To inform the farmer with precautionary measurements about correct water irrigation
There are many other methods to calculate the crop water requirements but we will use the Penman-Monteith method, which is the most reliable and accurate method and is recommended as the sole ETo method for determining reference evapotranspiration. The method, its derivation, the required meteorological data and the corresponding definition of the reference surface.
We will use Agile project development methodology for building our project. First of all we will design a complete wireframe then we will write business logic for the system and after that we will implement the functionalities and combile all the modules together.
1.Farmers will easily uinderstand the water requirements for their crops irrigation within no time.
2.Water usage will be at optimum state because if the water supply is in extra or in less quantity then crop will not provide desired yield and production.
3.By the usage of accurate amount of water, the crop yield, production and leftover will be in good amount so the farmer will get benefit in terms of selling his prducts because "The more quantity you have, the more amount you will get".
4.By the usage of accurate amount of water, the farmer will get good quality production because "Good quality is always benefcient".
The system will check soil data of user's location that we will purchase from agriculture department or NARC, after than the system will check the temperature parameters from weather api. Then gps will calculate the elevation of farmer's land from the sea level. We will also calculate the area of farmer's land though the polygon drawn by the farmer. Now the system will put all these values and will perform calculations and finally we will receive an ETo value of penman's equation. After then we will multiply that value with the crop coefficient of each stage and we will get the exact crop water requirements for the crop.
