The need for such high-tech is ever growing since a country’s prosperity is often linked to its modernistic approach towards almost everything.
Pakistan’s future economy and defense systems will strongly depend on our own skills to be a part of the great revolution that is knocking on our doorsteps. Rather than be a consumer that makes us totally dependent on foreign software and hardware even at crucial times, we must become a player and manufacturer of the new systems ensuring phenomenal economic dividends as well as our own security.
We plan to develop a futuristic automated system for the superstores (retail stores) with embedded intelligence. The design of the proposed system will be built using strong foundations of machine learning and edge computing. The idea behind the project is to make an efficient system for customers as well the store staff. We wish to achieve this by keeping a check on inventory, monitoring store traffic and tracking and estimating the customers’ transactional behavior with the intention to provide customers, user-based as well as item-based useful and most relevant recommendations.
Our main goal is to improve the overall efficiency of the store management process in terms of customers ease, store management efficiency and to avoid unexpected human behavior mishaps (Woes).
Our system will be comprised of multiple cameras to capture the input data which will be fed into the processing unit (R-Pi) running the pre-trained models for specific tasks to make overall intelligent decisions.
This project involves modern tools usage with a great societal impact. The idea has a wide scope in terms of futuristic research and innovation.
The main aim of our project includes:
- Designing and development of prototype store management system.
- Usage of modern tools.
- Designing and development of inventory management system.
- Development of traffic administration.
- Designing and development of real time recommender systems.
- Designing and Development of real time video monitoring system using Raspberry PI.
- Designing and Development of Real time detection system using Raspberry PI.
Our projected is being implemented through the following steps:
- Testing different pre trained models and analyzing their results.
- Opting for best suitable models.
- Integration of models to streamline them.
- Designing and Development of real time video monitoring system using Raspberry PI, PI cam and PI OS.
- Designing and Development of real time detection system using Raspberry PI, PI cam and PI OS.
- Getting edge device ready for real time tasks.
- Deploying application on edge device.
