As nonlinear loads draw harmonic and reactive power components of current from ac mains, the quality of power deteriorates. A program-based algorithm will be developed to calculate power factor and other power quantities. We will calculate all three power values by measuring voltage, current and power factor on load side. This is an IOT based single phase energy meter, meter will measure these power quantities and upload on online database same will be displayed on meter LCD. An Android application will be developed for user end control. User can see the resultant values and also switch load in case of absence. User will also be able to pay electricity bills through same application.

A program-based algorithm will be developed to calculate power factor and other power quantities. This is an IOT based energy meter, meter will measure these power quantities and upload on online database same will be displayed on meter LCD. An Android application will be developed for user end control. User can see the resultant values and also switch load in case of absence. User will also be able to pay electricity bills through same application.
Benefits of the Project- It provides real time value rather than only dependent on just meter reader.

ESP microcontroller is used that will control and monitor the system. Data will upload in real time to database through which user can see it on android application globally. Application will provide the facility of billing and control of load. Current and Potential transformer will use to measure current, voltage and all other power values. For power factor pulse interval calculation technique will be used. Operational amplifier will compare this value and sent it to ESP. Power triangle will be solved using Input voltage, current and power factor values. Android Application will be developed solemnly for this energy meter. Application will be password protected a user can set and change the password according to his requirement.
