POWER GENERATING SHOES THROUGH STRESS COUPLED PHENOMENON OF CRYSTALS
We are making a shoe design that is capable of generating power when you walk wearing it. This power generation works on the the phenomenon of piezoelectric effect, basically piezoelectric effect is the phenomenon of some crystals that generates power when stress is applied on them. This generated power is then used to charge our handheld devices like mobile phones, bluetooth devices, etc.
As we all know that in Pakistan energy crises is one of the major issue and the government is trying there level best to encounter this problem but they are not getting enough success in this field. So, our major objective is to make a device that is capable of powering up our basic handheld devices, for this purpose we are making this shoe which generates power to do so.
As this is a research project and many countries across the world are working on it so our another objective is to make these shoes as early as possible and make them cost and power efficient.
Firstly we research about the project. Secondly we bought the crysatls/tranducers and test them to ensure that results are same as expected or others wise move towards another material, Thirdly we design circuits and again check the Firstly we research about the project. The final deliverable of the project is the power generating shoe along with internal rechargeable battery and external USB port for mobile recharging.
