This Portable cost effective hybrid small power plant elucidated wind solar hybrid power plant for domestic consumers as entire replacement of the prevailing electric emergency system of homes.
Portable power plant using hybrid sources of renewable energy is new type of power generation system, portability and mobility is the main benefits and make it unique from others,
This system is will include wind turbine and solar panels hybrid system annexed with latest battery technology for longer long and storage capacity, high efficiency and light weight compare to lead acid battery to generate power and store in battery for rescue operation.
This system also include/ provide 12 volt power supply connection output for DC appliances like Fans, LEDs bulb.5 volt USB output for smart phone and other gadgets charging and universal 220V AC power supply for AC appliances which make it unique from others.
Project ObjectivesDesign and build a working prototype of a system that will power basic home AC appliances like TV, Fan ,LED lights ,mobile chargers etc. and DC appliances like FAN & LED lights.
Our group had an interest to create a device that could power Regular Home appliances and quick Charge with 95 % battery backup efficiency , Hybrid Charging system like wind and solar energy , and Monitoring system for system power calibration for better system performance.
Project Implementation MethodAt present we have following methods for making the solar hybrid power plant .
- First we get Li-ion battery pack at 3s50p sequenced cells, for 50 AH capacity and using BMS for battery monitoring or Dry Lead Acid Battery for low cost system.
- We have to connect the 12V dc 1KVA inverter for AC output power .
- Making the suitable casing with ventilation fan for system development.
- Arrange solar/wind MPPT charge controller with high amperage output.
- Design the output/input connectors and controllers
- Connect and recheck all connections and ON the entire system
- Connect any AC light output load for check any device Failure.

Technical Details of Final DeliverableIt has 12 V power output connecter for DC 12v appliances like fans and LED lights.12V DC output connector for gadgets. 5v DC USB connector for mobile and gadgets charging. Using the solar-wind hybrid charging option ,it can be very useful portable system for any location ,space and atmosphere. For the emergency situations it can also charge from mains grid 220V AC Supply from laptop charging adaptor.
