Through the use of image processing techniques in the detection and analysis process type of disease will be detected. we are developing android application for disease detection in plants  which using image processing and deep learning techniques to detect diseases in plants. 
 

Project Objectives

Plant diseases are a notable risk to the economy although through quick recognition we can be bothersome in several parts of crop disease due to the unavailability of important phytopathology organizations to cure disease on time. We need to emerge valid techniques in the field of leaf-based image detection to have a dignified outcome. We are developing an android based application to overcome this issue.
 

Project Implementation Method

?    In PlantD users can upload or take real-time photos of leaves to detect disease in plants.
?    The dataset for testing PlantD is New plant Diseases Dataset.
?    After using some image processing techniques or deep learning techniques it shows the result whether this plant is healthy or not. 
?    If the plant is diseased then which type of disease is it.
?    PlantD will generate a real-time result, not by email or other resources.

?    It is covering potato crops for the detection of diseases.
 


 

Benefits of the Project

Crop diseases are a significant threat to human existence because they are likely to lead to droughts and famines. They also cause substantial losses in cases where farming is done for commercial purposes. This issue must be under great consideration to overcome the loss in crops. As we know in the era of technology, we should provide an online solution. The aim of the project is to develop an android based application using image-based technology in detecting diseases in plants with accuracy. 

Technical Details of Final Deliverable
  1. we are using jupyter notebook for the implementation of deep learning and image processing techniques.
  2. we are using the CNN model for image classification
  3. FastApi framework is used at the backend 
  4. React Native framework is used for frontend

currently, we are covering only one crop of potato due to a lack of the best storage devices because we are handling a large number of data related to images for which processing speed becomes very slow that's why we are applying for fund so that we can arrange good processing and storage devices like GPU so that we can extend our project to more crops.
