With the advancement in the field of technology, people have now become more familiar, how technology can help in making one’s life easier. The companies in the pharmaceutical sector use Microsoft Excel for maintaining the data of sales, purchase, expense, profit margin, staff data and location zone, etc. but with all these facilities it is quite strenuous to maintain the analysis of thousands of excel sheets containing the data of sales, expense, etc. This data has to match the data present on the master sheets and later needs to be approved by the head office of the respective department. As it is a multiple-stage process and consumes a lot of time and energy, we as a firm should provide these pharmaceutical companies with a web-based online sale system to feed their data of staff, products, sales, expense, distributors, etc. Moreover, the head office or department responsible for this work can efficiently go through the complete database report. With the use of this portal, less time would be consumed which ultimately would allow the company to focus and spend more time on business strategies, analyses of the employee performance, increase sale profits, and how to make their organization a market leader.

Project Implementation Method

We design and prototype websites using Adobe Creative Suite. We will develop a frontend using HTML, CSS, and Javascript on the Laravel framework. For databases, we are using MySQL Database and Xampp. We will use Microsoft Visual Studio Code as our editor. We will then shift our project completely to the Laravel PHP framework for the implementation and completion of our whole project in FYP-II.

Benefits of the Project

There is no uniformity of managing sales and its report generation between Pharmaceutical companies and their Distributors all over Pakistan as all of them use different software and formats to generate excel files. Therefore, it is very difficult for companies to compile all the excel files and analyze them. Moreover, employees and managers also create their sales, expenses, and marketing expenses excel reports that have to be matched with the master excel sheet created by the company's HR department. This is why we want to provide a platform for Pharmaceutical companies to use our portal. This will give their staff and distributors a common platform where they can just feed the data and the Head Office of the companies can easily get the essential information that they need via report generation or graphs through our database. It will help companies to have uniformity as well as zero hectic to compile thousands of excel sheets to analyze their sales, expense, marketing expenses, and other essential reports that will help them to increase their business.
