Our project has two parts. First part is about path planning for recconnaisence UAV. An algorithm will be developed for path planing for UAV to go to many target points.
Second part is making algorithm with which UAV can avoid static obstacle in real time.
Both the tasks will be implemented in hardware as well.
There are two objectives of our project that are:
For path planning, we are using particle swarm optimization technique as main. also, crossing elimination technique is being used for crossing elimination and better path. Moreover, a formula is being implemented for improvment in acuracy.
For obstacle avoidance, ultrasonic sensor and LiDAR integrated with arduino are being used. Distance measurements will be taken from these sensors and then algorithm will decide how to avoid abstacle.
Path planning have benefits in different technological applications. For example, food delivery, grocery delivery or medicine delivery companies can use this algorithm. Moreover, the main purpose is for military recconnaisence of an area.
Obstacle avoidance also have benefits in UAV fields as it is automization of UAV.
At end of the project, an algorithm for shortest and best path planning will be presented alongwith implementation of this algorithm on UAV.
Obstacle avoidance algorithm will be tested on UAV.
