Our project is about path planning for recconaisence UAV. We made an algorithm which will plan the shoertest and optimal path for UAV to go to different target points. Second task in our project is enabling the UAV to avoid static obstacle in real time during flight.

Our project is about path planning for recconaisence UAV. We made an algorithm which will plan the shoertest and optimal path for UAV to go to different target points.
Second task in our project is enabling the UAV to avoid static obstacle in real time during flight.
First objective of our project is to make an algorithm that generate optimal path for UAV so that UAV may go to different target points and collect as much information as it can.
Second objective is to enable UAV to avoid static obstacle in real time. In other words, making UAV artificially intelligent.
For path planning, we implemented particle swarm optimization(PSO) technique which is basically behaviour of birds for getting food. We made algorithm which was implementation of PSO.
For obstacle avoidance, we used ultrasonic sensor and LIDAR sensor to measure distance and then, algorithm will decide whether to stop or not based on distance measured at that instant. After this decision, UAV will avoid obstacle in 2D and after avoiding, it will come to pre-planned path.
Our project is beneficial in many fields like in military for recconaisence based operations. Other than that, our work can be used in food delivery industry via drones as well.
Moreover, we can use this work for future innovations like automation of vehicles.
Final deliverables will contain algorithm for optimal path planning with which UAV will have a pre-defined path. Than, UAV will be follow that path and be able to avoid static obstacle in that path if there is any through artificial intelligence.
