Project Area of Specialization Software EngineeringProject SummaryThe purpose of this project is to create a functional website for users to reserve the hotel room. The main concern of the website is to develop the system that provides the location for available hotels in the area. This facilitates the user to get information about the nearby located hotels immediately and in an efficient and easier way. Users of this website will be able to use an easy interface in order to search, sort, reserve room and services. One of the main purposes of this project is to allow customer to have online booking of room. The basic requirements state that the users will be able to search for room based on the user preferences.
Project ObjectivesMain objective of the online hotel booking System is to ensured:
- Overall system quality should be good and it should be a smooth experience for both customers and administrators.
- Main concern of the system is to provide the information about the nearby hotels and their location which make the user comfort to avail the facility.
- The system will remain up at all times.
The project implementation includes intelligence searching through which by providing the radius the system will use searching algorithms to show the location for the nearest hotel on the map located in the particular area.
Benefits of the Project1. The current manual reservation system uses paper and direct human interaction to book the hotel room and manage reservations. This makes delays exchanging of information in the hotel.
2. It is hectic for the users to search for the nearby hotels available in the area and time consuming process.
3. Manual booking system requires a lot of paper work to maintain customers record and difficult to maintain such huge amount of data for all users.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThis system is aimed at developing an online website for hotel booking system. This system can be used by end users (Customer and Hotelier) and administrator to perform extensible tasks, to reserve room in an easy and secure manner. The following facilities have been implemented by us:
- Secure registration and profile management facilities for customers.
- Adequate searching mechanisms for easy and quick access to particular products and services.
- Users can find the hotels which lies nearby them.
