Project Title

Online blood bank system with Bar code technology

Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject Summary

An online blood bank system will be developed to help the people and enable to donate the blood as per required by the patient. There will be an android application and also the website which will help the people to connect with our blood bank system. The main contribution of the proposed system over old systems is a GPS tracker through which the people can locate the blood donors and recipients. The information of donors and recipients stores in the blood bank system. The barcode technology will be used to add and remove the information of blood bags.

Project Objectives

The system will timely add and update the recipients about blood donors.
? GPS tracker will help to locate the donors/recipients.
? Barcode technology will add and remove the record of blood bags.
? Efficiently manage the record of donors/recipients and blood bags.

Project Implementation Method

CSS, HTML, javascript, jquery, jsn library, PHP, MySQL are used in the proposed system. it is an android and web-based system.the proposed system uses the barcode reader to scan barcode tags.

Benefits of the Project

The proposed system is an android and web-based system that is to be used by the blood banks or blood centers that allow the public to make online reservations and requests for the blood. The system keeps the record of all the donors, recipients, blood donation programs, rejected types of blood. The main contribution of the proposed system over the old
systems is a GPS tracker through which the people can locate the blood donors and recipients. The information of donors and recipients stores in the blood bank system. The barcode technology will be used to add and remove the information of blood bags.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Captures virtually all 1D barcodes on any surface, including mobile phone displays. The Motorola LI4278takes 1D barcode scanning to the next level, allowing workers to scan faster and farther. Workers can capture virtually any 1D barcode - including the typical barcodes that are printed on paper labels, electronic barcodes displayed on the screen of a mobile phone, tablet or computer that allows retailers to easily process loyalty cards, mobile coupons and more, and the high density (HD) barcodes commonly used in electronic component manufacturing. 100 percent UPC barcodes can be captured from near contact to over 30 in 76.2 cm away, while 200% UPC codes can be scanned at 55 in./139.7 cm away. Since the LI4278 can capture barcodes at extreme angles, scanning is easier than ever, so workers spend less time maneuvering the scanner and more time on task. And an optional cradle that enables presentation mode gives your workers the flexibility to use the scanner in handheld and hands-free modes.
