Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject SummaryIn recent times, automatic face recognition algorithms are playing a key role in several security applications. In this project i develop a framework for enhancing the security of cars entering into the campus of an organisation. The proposed framework can be divided in to five separate steps. In first step, a car in the input image is spotted. In second step, car license plate in the input image is located. In third step licesnse plate is matched up against the license plate in the database. In fourth step, the face of driver in image is detected. In the final step, a robust face recognition algorithm identifies the driver by comparing the face image with face images in a database. On successful identification of the car license plate and driver face, car is allowed to enter in campus. For Identification of car licesne plate, optical character recognition is used and to detect face(s), i use Adaptive Boosting algorithm and Haar-like features, while driver face identification algorithm uses Eigenfaces for feature selection and Euclidian distance for classification. In this project there are four diffrent interface are use on the basis of security clearness, 1. Administration interface, 2. Monitoring Interface, 3. Registration Interface, 4.Security Guard Interface. The system is be can deploy for any organisation where security concered is one of important priority.
Project ObjectivesThe objective of developing this system is to increase the security system of any organistion where the security is one of the main priority. This system will be using the artificial intelligence technologies to make this system more automatic and less error prone. The system will make easy of tracking the cars entering into the organisation, by allowing only those cars and drivers that are aurhorized to enter into the organisation. The system will generate alarm if the car or driver is not macthed up with the records in the database.
Project Implementation MethodNon-Visitor Car and Identification System is composed of four diffrent units, each unit has diffrent funcationality. The end user of this system will be authorized person by the organisation. The users are categorized on the basis of security levels as administration has access to all the system,can keep track of all security, registration and monitoring unit.The security guard unit will be person on the entrace gate and look for each car and driver entering into the campus. The registration unit will be adding new cars and drivers if they belive to have authorized id card.The Monitoring unit will be monitoring all the cameras installed in the campus and will be fully seperated from other units. The Security unit where all car and driver identification occours will be implemented on the entrance gate.Two Cameras will be required one for car detection and identification and one for driver face detection and identification. the Registration unit can be implemented near security unit where registration of car and driver can occour. Two cameras will be required for car and driver registration. The Monitoring unit is diffrent then Security and Registration. The Monitoring unit will be implemented in the campus itself. It will be a room of all monitors where monitoring team can track other cameras and both other units. The Administration unit also has diffrent functinality as other three. The Admin can track all of three units and can add or remove privliiages for faculty if neccerssary.

The system will automatically detect and identify cars in a live feed video.The system will identify the license plate of the car and match the license plate with license plate present in the database. The system will detect and identify the driver through facial recognition to verify if it is the same driver whose car it belongs to. The system will generate alarm if the car license plate or face of driver not identified. This system will increase the security of organisation by not allowing the cars and drivers which are not authorized by the organisation.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe system needs to be run on small network where each four units will be connected.The Final system will be delivered in a form of package(.exe) file which then can be installed on the main frame can be run by other units. for this system ip cameras will be required and all of cameras will be connected through the network.
