The purpose of this project is to design and implement a new mechanism for diseased people (blood pressure and asthma).Smart watches have the potential to support health in everyday living by: enabling self-monitoring of personal activity; obtaining feedback based on activity measures; allowing for in-situ surveys to identify patterns of behavior; and supporting bi-directional communication with health care providers and family members.
The aim of this systematic project is to synthesize research studies involving the use of smart watch devices for healthcare.The only goal is to integrate this technology in the society and to save the life of many people through this smart wristband.
Develops a wristband monitoring diagnostic framework to detect underlying heart conditions in real-time which helps avoiding potential heart diseases and rehabilitation of the patients recovering from cardiac diseases. The proposed real-time monitoring system is compatible to use various wearable sensors to extract medical information which helps finding out multiple parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure, and body and skin temperature at the same time. Similar to the existing monitoring systems, the developed system has two interfaces, one for patients and other for the attendant. The patient interface is comprised of wearable sensors which extract medical information of the patients and transmit to an Android based listening port via Bluetooth low energy. The listening port transfers this information to web server which processes data to show reports on attendant interface. The details of the system architecture, components, data processing, and alarming system on a mobile of patient attendant.
Consumer-grade smart watches have penetrated the health research space effectively. Smart watch technical function, acceptability, and effectiveness in supporting health must be validated in larger field studies that enroll actual participants living with the conditions these devices target. Patient-related studies focused on activity monitoring, heart rate monitoring, speech therapy adherence, self-management, and detection of seizures, tremors, scratching, eating, and medication-taking behaviors. Most patient-related studies enrolled participants with few exclusion criteria to validate smart watch function.
It supports wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS. For many purposes, a "watch computer" serves as a front end for a remote system such as a smartphone, communicating with the smartphone using various wireless technologies. It contains different sensors such as heart rate, temperature sensor and crystal oscillator connected with application which provides notifications to the attendant.
