Project Summary

This project is to design and fabricate multiband antenna for cubesat. The antenna will work in range of VHF band and UHF band with operating frequencies of 145 MHz and 435 MHz respectively. Twodesigns of antenna will be proposed for 3-U cubesat out of which one will be patch antenna and other will be deployable dipole antenna. For designingand simulation Computer SimulationTechnology(CST)will be used and after the simulation obtained measurements will be used to fabricate antenna.

Project Objectives

To design and simulate deployable dipole antenna and patch antenna operating on frequencies of 145 MHz and 435 MHzon software.

To implement the designed antennae on hardware for cubesat

Project Implementation Method

Selection of antenna design.

Using CST software for designing and simulation process.

Fabrication and testing of prototype in antenna lab

Benefits of the Project

Manufacturing of Dual Band Antenna working on UHF and VHF band frequencies.

Measurements or sizing of Antenna would be specified.
