Mobile Application For University Transport
Students take admission in universities to get higher education because it is the need of every student who
has passed college. While in universities, student face a lot of problems like academic problems or the
problems regarding the management of universities. The common problem student’s face is the problem of
transportation. There are number of transport services available for students throughout the country but
some management issues still stand. Lack of system and timing problems sometimes become irritating and
it affects the transport service as well as students. There are a lot of transportation networks for different
institutions in our country but what they all lack is an online system.
Our aim is to bring the physically controlled transportation network to mobile application so that it would
be easy for administrator, drivers as well as for students. If all of the things are balanced and well controlled
on digital devices then chances for error are minimum. Administrator would be doing the major work in
application like setting the pickup points, confirming students for bus, keeping track of all the buses etc.
Students would just have to set up their account and select the timing at which they want to leave for the
university. We are focusing to reduce this problem by bringing physically controlled transportation network
of UOW into mobile Application
Our objective is to design a transport system to facilitate student.
1.Our application we will focus on automating the university transport networks that are already in
place but are running on manual functions.
2.It provides functions to those students who travel in university bus and it also makes the things easy
for admin of whole transport network.
3.Our aim is to build applications that digitalize the university transport networks, in this way it
would be easier to carry out the related tasks for the bus drivers and also for admin.
There will be three interfaces.
Admin: This interface is for the Transport officers who controls all the drivers or have all the record of the
system.
Student: This one is for the students. Their interface will have a login id and password and they have to
register themselves, they will simply open the application and if their class timing is different they open
the application and simply change it to the one that they want, now the question arrives how the student
came to know where are the drivers or on which bus they go, these all details are shown on map, the driver
the one that will be available on map for them. The students will get notifications for particular bus five
minutes before bus leaves.
Driver: This interface will contain a google map which is going to help the driver in navigation the driver
will know the locations to pick up student. A Google maps which is going to help the driver in navigation
