Project Area of Specialization Software EngineeringProject SummaryOur project is an android application which has two parts
1. To register the complaint about the missing person immediately after someone goes missing. This will help people to locate the missing person quickly by the collaboration of people on the app. Moreover, it will reduce the manual work for police department and will automate the complaint systems for missing persons.
2. The second part is to record a video evidence for any kind of street crime such as (domestic violence, child abusing, snatching, bribing and etc.) using out app. The proposed app will automatically upload and will notify the security departments like police to take action along with the evidence collected at the time of incident.
This project can be used by any one and can play a good role of citizen.
Project ObjectivesThe project objectives are:
- User must register on application.
- User can either upload video clip or report complaint.
- There will be a form for user to fill and give valid information of the victim who’s been missing.
- User can record and upload the crime scene.
- The GPS of the user will automatically share on the police server.
- The complaints and the video evidence of crime will be saved on our database so there will be less chance of corruption.
- Police can share the information of victim on media(social media, news channel, and newspapers).
This project will be developed using Agile methdology and extreem programming will be followed so that changes can be incorporated later on and programming mistakes can be avoided.
System will be automatically connected to the police and security agencies servers in proposed prototype which will send text or video evidences automatically to servers.
Camera and speakers will be used for automatic evidence collection.
Benefits of the ProjectThis project will help User to report the complaint of missing person immediately without wasting time and the record of the complaint will be secured in database. user can also record the crime evidence video and upload it on our app and it will also be secured in database so police can be used against the criminals for justice.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableTo develop this system we will use Android platform and APIs to capture video on runtime video and voice APIs will be used. Moreover, this following tools will be used for application devlopment..

Database will be created in MySQL for the protoype of police or security agencies. PHP based admin panel will be designed so that admin can monitor activities online. This can be used by admin or any police monitoring person who can see the crime happening and take action accordingly.
