Project Summary

The automotive industry in Pakistan is the one of the fastest-growing industries of the country,
accounting for 4% of Pakistan's GDP and employing a workforce of over 1.8 million people.
Currently, there are 3,200 automotive manufacturing plants in the country. With that there is no
proper platform available in Pakistan where people can get their vehicles fixed while they are on
the road. People have to spend their time on road until they gets help from some other else. Most
of the time it is hard to find any mechanic shop near the area and people remained stuck.
Secondly, as world faces this great pandemic most of the work is stopped all around Pakistan.
The Government instructed people to follow proper SOP’s, among which social distancing is
most important. In mechanic shop people don’t follow proper SOP’s, especially on the weekends
because most of the people visit mechanic shops on weekends.
For solving these major problems we decided to make a cross/android app MECH’IN. With the
help of this app people will have the platform where they can call fixing person for help when
got stuck on the road at anytime and anywhere. Also it has another feature which allows user to
book an appointment to get their vehicle fixed just by staying at home and they do not need to
spend their weekends on mechanic shops.
MECH’IN is a cross platform/android app that will be developed on android/flutter, by using
this app user can avail any offered service by any available mechanic/repairer. Just as a user
confirms for a service, his details (location, vehicle, etc.) will be uploaded to firebase database
and will be received by the respective mechanic/repairer on the app, then If user and
mechanic/repairer needs to chat they do so through our app.
This app is just not for emergency purposes but also for Towing, Fuel Refueling, Car/bike wash,
Car/bike Inspection, Car/bike service, also for Accessories Purchasing, and at last Contactless
Repairing and Live Chat with mechanic.

Project Objectives

Project Objective
1. To provide a complete online mechanic service provider platform to people.
2. To get peoples’ cars or motorbikes fix at anytime and anywhere.
3. To provide our country mechanics’ to earn extra money in this tough time.
4. To save valuable time of car and motorbike owners which they used to spend in
mechanics shops.

Project Implementation Method

MECH’IN is a cross platform/android app that will be developed on android/flutter, by using
this app user can avail any offered service by any available mechanic/repairer. Just as a user
confirms for a service, his details (location, vehicle, etc.) will be uploaded to firebase database
and will be received by the respective mechanic/repairer on the app, then If user and
mechanic/repairer needs to chat they do so through our app.

Benefits of the Project

1. It becomes such a headache when we are going somewhere, and our vehicle gets broke in
middle of the way and most of the time we do not have any workshop near. Also, there
isn’t any reliable platform to facilitate us in that time of emergency. This is where our
App comes in handy, the person can immediately get a mechanic exactly where he is
stuck by sharing his or her location through GPS using this app.
2. In case, the person due to any reason don’t want to repair his vehicle from an unknown
mechanic, he just wants to toe his vehicle to some point, he can also do so through our
app since there isn’t any formal platform which provide toeing service and our app can be
very helpful.
3. There are times when we are out of fuel either in the middle of road or sometimes at
home, we can also deliver fuel wherever the person is stuck.
4. If someone don’t have time to take his vehicle to a carwash, he can get his vehicle
washed at his doorstep just by booking through our app.
5. Usually when travelling in a car, we have an extra tire or stepony, but bikers don’t have it
and their problem can doubled if they have family riding with them, they can get their
puncture mend exactly where they are just by sharing their location through this app.
6. People face another great problem when they take their vehicle to workshop, each
repairer offers them desired cost and sometimes it’s not even justifiable we can solve this
problem by standardizing our each service cost, no mechanic can ask his desired cost
service cost will be standard for all mechanics.
Every person who owns a vehicle needs this app because every vehicle needs maintenance or
repair. According to data released by Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS). There are 32.2
million households in Pakistan, who owns private vehicle, according to 2017 census. Total
number of registered motorcycles were record more than 17 million and more than 3 million
cars in 2018. There is a huge amount of people who can need this app and can benefit from
it.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The final output of the project will be a Cross-platform Application. Integrated with all the
features of an online-mechanic service provider. People can book the nearest mechanic through
GPS. Mechanics can follow people's location through GPS.
