Maximum Power Point Tracking with Solar Panel
Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryOur aim was to develop a low-cost hardware system. The system includes a sun tracking solar panel frame, LDR sensor, MPPT controller and a micro controller on a single-chip unit, which controls the controller directly according to the PV array output power measurements. And in the end we would get higher efficiency.
Project ObjectivesThe main objectives is the use of the renewable energy sources present in our environment.
In this project we aim:
- To design a system that contiuously track sun and allign solar panel perpendicular to sun rays.
- To produce maximum power using MPPT controller to analyse and compare output of the system.
Our project will be implemented in areas such a industry where user want to install a large number of solar panels. In that scenario, all the solar panels with sun tracking solar panel frame would be connected in series and then connected with MPPT to battery in order to get higher output.
Benefits of the Project1.It would increase the efficiency of output power.
2.It will give better efficiency in winter season as well.
3.It can be used for net metering.
4.Lesser use of electricity from grid station hence better for economy and environment.
5.Environment friendly.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableOur final deliverable will be fully automated sun tracking solar panel with MPPT controller to get better power efficiency.
