There are around 360 million speech and hearing impaired people across the globe. AAC has been used as an alternative mode of communication. Sign Language Converter is designed to convert sign language to text and speech.

Project Objectives

1). To develop a real time embedded device for physically challenged to aid their communication in effective means.

2). To convert basic symbols that represent English alphabets under American Sign Language (ASL) script into speech using speaker.

3). To reduce barrier of communication by developing an assistive device for speech and hearing impaired people.
