The project “Lend and Rent” aims to mitigate the need of purchasing new occasional clothes on every different event. The core aspect of the project is to reduce the expenses as well as time of particularly low and middle class families. The project would have at start physical presence in major city as Karachi, because of it is considered as the main hub for purchasing and selling of occasional dresses locally. Product for rent will be delivered to us first after complete check-up process of quality and condition. It will dispatched to the end-user. Before dispatching, a particular amount subject to the product would be charged by the user in advance. After the product is returned. Remaining amount after deducting the rent charges would be returned back to the customer and the dress will be delivered to the renter as well.

Project Objectives

Clear objectives of Lend and Rent are as follows:

1. The main target would be to reduce expenses audience such as the females who spend thousands of rupees in purchasing a dress, which is to be worn only once.

2. To entertain the people of all social classes such as lower class, middle class, and upper class.

3.  Lend and Rent would be committed to effectively understand the changing needs and wants of customers and fulfill those needs with efficiency. 

4. Lend and Rent would impute the desired value and quality into their products.

5.  To leave a space in the management for the innovative ideas which could increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the application to fulfill the core aspect of the business.

Project Implementation Method

Every project that needs to be implemented have much different sides so as Lend and Rent, it involves two major things.

1. Human Effort
2. Technical Support

If the implementation be divided into particular tasks it will be as follows.

1. Making of team:

Referring to the human effort needed, the first task is to make a team of at least 5-7  members who wish to work effortlessly for the cause of reducing the expenses and serve people.

        2. Establishment of collection point:                   

There is need of a place where we can store dresses and other material that we call here Collection point.

        3.Development of Website:                          

As the project depends both on human and technology so it requires a website that will work as a medium between a donor and a receiver.                                                                     First step to use the webiste is to register yourself and then whenever you want you can upload the dresses. Once any receiver wants the dress, that dress will be sent to our collection point where its quality check will be done and from high quality lens, video and images will be saved in our database. We have proper plan for the product promotion which requires the high quality lens for capturing pictures and videos. Further, videos of product will be made where graphic card will be used for rendering and microphone for voice-over, then the dress will be dispatched. So that once returned we will ensure no harm is done.

Benefits of the Project

As the demand and competition for occasional dresses is increasing with the increasing number of occasions being held nowadays. From birthdays, bridal shower to wedding and parties. It has become really costly for a common person to afford these events with their personal other expenses of home and lifestyle as well. The core aspect of the business would be to work as an effective strategy to generate and meet the demand of society. Moreover, the integrated marketing communication strategy would help the company to generate the demand of the product by creating arousals.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Lend and Rent is a web based project, if we divide its technical development into different parts its major parts are as follows.

1. Prototyping:

The initial phase after the communication, requirements gathering and planning is prototyping. For the prototyping of Adobe XD has been used. Adobe XD is the all-in-one UX/UI solution for designing websites, mobile apps, and more. 

2. Web Development:

For the development of Lend and Rent website technologies used are PHP, Javascript (For back end development), HTML, CSS and Bootstrap (For front end Designing).

3. Creating Databases:

For every project we need some data and for its storage and management different databases are used. For the same purpose we need to create a database that will manage our project related data (For example: Details of the one that want give as rent and others who want for rental purpose such as their name, Address etc).

To complete this task we will make use of firebase database.

This feature of firebase database allows to evaluate client behavior and make informed decisions.

• Crash Reporting to fix bugs:

Firebase also helps to address performance issues of an app by fixing bugs right from its backend solution.

• Synchronizing data with real time databases

With Firebase you can sync the offline and online data through NoSQL database. This makes the application data available on both offline and online states of the app.
