Libraries had to face several problems, this project examined the problems and challenges facing the undergraduate students of the Jinnah University for women in the use of library of the institution. This Project is all about building the smart library to save student and librarian time therefor, we develop an auto library system "JUW Auto Lib" which automate the existing system of manually maintain the records of the Book Issue, Book Return from the student and book borrow from the library to be computerized. The main reason is that it facilitates students to avoid from being standing in que and searching the books. This project provides mobile augmented reality for proper library navigation. The camera located within the library will collect images of the library that will be used to detect the presence of the student inside the library near a specific item on the shelf. We also implemented sensors in each shelves to detect which item a student took, if a student too the book off from the shelf, it will be added to the student’s cart. Similarly, if a student places the book back on the shelf, it is removed from the student’s cart. This application resolves all the manual records of borrowing books. It also generate penalty records on your mobile so that customer regularly be notified after the return date.
At first we will collect data from relevant library which are offering books inside the university. Along with that we will also get the other relevant information from library that include the author name, publisher information, version etc. After the collection of this information, we will make an application that makes librarian work easier and faster.
In the next phase of our project, we will design the website layout in Visual Studio Code by using html. CSS for fronted and JAVASCRIPT, Php for backend as well as the android application through android studio which includes the aforementioned features. Additionally, design a database for website in SQL (Php) and for mobile app in SQLite for students. Using popup in this application for narrating the direction of shelf in library and website domain will be purchased from some well-known resources and will be deployed in our project. Using infrared sensors for check if book is pick up from shelf or not and which book is picked up. Using cameras for security purpose on the main gate. For helping the students that how to use the application, videos will add, we used Adobe After effects or Premium Pro.
