Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryAs the name describes ‘juicer techbot’ is an automatic and smart juice making machine (kind of a vending machine). It is basically an arduino based automatic bartender that functions in such a way that it makes it feasible to manage drinks. It operates using the operational machines controlled by microprocessor, so whenever user inserts the token it automatically enables the options to select the flavors according to the token value, then the signal is generated and it starts to dispense a particular amount of the drink to the glass controlled by the microprocessor.
As the project begins to process, the token is first inserted. The token we used has three different values to select 1, 2 and 3 flavors respectively. The juicer techbot has cylindrical structure; it has a round top that contains 5 bottles having different flavors attached in the holder in an upside down position attached with a liquid measuring component so that only bottom has to rotate and stop at the selected flavor to dispense the drinks off the bottle in a particular amount by the assistance of the measuring component. A juicer techbot is so simple that anyone could use it easily in public places. It does not require much space because of its cylindrical structure. In this way selecting and buying customized juices is simply a matter of few minutes.
Project ObjectivesThe basic purpose of the juicer techbot is to make an efficient and compact automated juice dispensing system that allows consumer to have juices with varying flavors. This system will operate in less space and would not need high maintenance cost. The development of this system would benefit in the places where one needs to distribute drinks efficiently, or where there are no shops available hence reduce human efforts.
The basic mechanism of the machine would be as follows:
- Insertion of the coin.
- Selection of the flavors according to the value of the coin.
- Mixing of mentioned flavors and serving it to the consumer.
Keeping in mind the above mechanism, following are the project salient features:
- Hygienic.
- Compact in size.
- Low maintenance.
- Cost effective.
- Coin insertion facility.
- Selection and mixing of flavors.
While implementing a system, availability of the components is a big thing to make sure of because in Pakistan there is a lot of issues regarding availability of certain product and if a product is available online it usually has a high shipment charges. After searching masses, these are the components that are used in the system without compromising on any of its feature and the performance.
- Stepper motor.

- Coin acceptor.
- Acrylic and steel combination for structure.
- Keypad.
- Solo spirit measure
- HMI display.
Stepper motor is used for the rotation of the base on a particular degree.
Stepper driver is used to provide necessary voltage to operate the stepper motor.
solo spirit measures are fixed at the head of the bottles to dispense off 45 ml of drink with the help of servo motor attached to it that pushes the solo spirit measure to dispense the drink.
arduin uno is the micro-controller we are using for our project controlling.
we are using coin acceptor which recognizes three different types of coins and accept it to enable the option of drink selection.
HMI is used to display and select the drink options,
To finalize the project as a product; acrylic, wood and steel combination will be used to build the structure of the project.
Benefits of the Project- The idea of Juicer techbot (A fully automatic bartender) came across our mind due to the rush to find drinks in a particular place.
- A juicer techbot will facilitate people in events and public places like airports, hospitals, ceremonial events, malls etc.
- It reduces human efforts as it would be fully automatic.
- Cost effective.
- Low maintenance cost.
Juicer techbot contains and HMI LCD panel through which the consumer selects the desired drinks for mixing. After the selection, signals are generated on stepper motor attached to the cylinder. It rotates the cylinder on its axis and locate the glass beneath desired bottle. After this the servo motor push up spirit measure dispenser which will dispense the liquid from the bottle.
