Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryOne of the main reasons of submersible pump damage is the dry running due to functioning without water, so it is important to never let a pump operate without water inside. When a pump works without water, there is a sudden increase of the internal temperature with destructive results of some pump parts. Another problem affecting submersible motors is over-temperature and under-voltage or voltage spikes. To avoid these losses a device is proposed, which stops the pump immediately in case of danger of dry-running or overshoot of other parameters. The device checks constantly the flow of the water flowing through the motor, temperature, voltage and current. If the water or temperature level goes under the established value, the pump stops and notify the user about it.
Project Objectives- To ensure that the submersible pump does not run dry and gets damaged.
- To save energy and money.
In the first two months, we will be doing literature review and then we will design a prototype in 4 months. After this, we will make it sustainable and along with it, we will be working on project report and final presentations.
Benefits of the Project-
A submersible pump is used to provide water to homes from bore and wells . This panel will save the pump in running during the absence of water as submersible pump gets damaged in the absence of load. So this proposed device saves energy and time of the residents.

Submersible pumps can be used in inland or offshore oil wells to pump oil from the ground to treatment and holding facilities above ground. With this device it will be easy to moniter the pump.
The panel monitors water through the pump, temperature, voltage and current. If any defined parameter fluctuates from its set point that may damage the pump, the panel will turn off the pump and notify the user about it. i.e the water level goes under the established value, the device will turn of the pump and will update the user about it through IoT.
