One of the main reasons of submersible pump damage is the dry running due to functioning without water, so it is important to never let a pump operate without water inside. When a pump works without water, there is a sudden increase of  the internal temperature with destructive results of some pump parts. Another problem affecting submersible motors is over-temperature and under-voltage or voltage spikes. To avoid these losses a device is proposed,  which stops the pump immediately in case of danger of dry-running or overshoot of other parameters. The device checks constantly the flow of the water flowing through the motor, temperature, voltage and current. If the water or temperature level goes under the established value, the pump stops and notify the user about it.

In the first two months, we will be doing literature review and then we will design a prototype in 4 months. After this, we will make it sustainable and along with it, we will be working on project report and final presentations.

Benefits of the Project Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The panel monitors water through the pump, temperature, voltage and current. If any defined parameter fluctuates from its set point that may damage the pump, the panel will turn off the pump and notify the user about it. i.e the water level goes under the established value, the device will turn of the pump and will update the user about it through IoT.
