In this project, a system will be implemented which troubleshoots all the challenging problems of solar panel faced by customers now-a-days such as sunlight exposure and dust accumulation. The project makes use of renewable, clean, eco-friendly solar energy equipped with automatic tracking and cleaning system to maximize its efficiency and potency and addresses the challenges that are faced by the industrial and agricultural sector of Pakistan due to load shedding and shortage of electricity. Moreover, this project will enable the user to monitor the state of solar panels anytime from anywhere through an installed camera which will give live image of the system.
Project ObjectivesNow-a-days solar panel plays a vital role and is used all over the world. We all are well aware of shortage of electricity in Pakistan and the challenge it poses to industrial and agricultural sector. Industries and agriculture have faced many setbacks due to load shedding in Pakistan especially Baluchistan. Solar energy is a potent solution to this challenge for it is easily available, stable, cheap and eco-friendly. However, solar energy is highly dependent on climate and temperature. In Baluchistan, dust accumulation on surface of solar panel is a key factor that affects the efficiency of solar panels. This motivated us to come up with a project that decrease the dust accumulation on solar panels by incorporating an automatic cleaning system to it along with tracking to maximize sun rays exposure to the solar panel. User can also watch over the system even if he is far away or unavailable to check the system through live feed if the system by a camera anytime.
Project Implementation MethodIn this project, we will implement a system to track sunlight, automatically clean the solar panels and watch over the state of solar panels. For this, we will make use of some sensors such as dust sensors, LDRs to sense the input to our system. A camera will capture the live feed of our system for maintenance. As our components are easily available and cheap, this project will offer a cheap and sustainable solution to challenge of shortfall of electricity. It will reduce cost of labor to watch over the panels and to clean it regularly in order to prevent dust accumulation.
Benefits of the ProjectOur project is expected to automatically track sunlight and clean the dust accumulated on solar panels through sensors to increase efficiency. It will also facilitate the user to monitor the panels remotely.
This project is also expected to open new avenues for investments and research. This project will also expose people of Pakistan especially Baluchistan to a smart, innovative and executive lifestyle to enhance prosperity and well-being of society.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableOur project will be implemented using locally available hardware that is cheap and easy to get that makes the commercialization of this project very much feasible. This project also offers cheap solution that makes it more desirable. With even a little amount of startup money, our project has the ability to penetrate market and produce fruitful output.
