Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryAs we are moving from the internet of people to the internet of things, where devices can communicate with each other without any human interaction making them intelligent enough to take decisions when required. So our focus is to make use of IoT as it has added a new dimension to the world of information and communication technologies. Basically we are working on IoT that automates the home appliances like fan, lights, AC, etc. This will control all the appliances even without human interaction. Apart from this, we will work on an automated door lock system through image processing, especially for Alzheimer patients. This is the best way to take care of the patient’s safety. This provides the caregiver and the family peace of mind that the patient is less likely to wander. All these appliances will be controlled remotely through an application as well.
Project ObjectivesGrowth of the global Internet of Things market is driven significantly by increasing usage of the internet, coupled with favorable government initiatives in various countries According to a survey the combined market of the internet of thing will grow about $520B in 2021. People are investing more and more on technology and various devices to make their life more efficient and convenient. As the market value of this product is high this product can make money and the customers will be everyone.
Project Implementation MethodWe are using Raspberry pi as a central unit for IoT, we will deploy nodes which will be connected to the raspberry pi, there will be an android app to remotely control the devices. Facial recognition will be there to provide smart access and also security.
