Project Summary

The medical vending machine consists of an Esp. NodeMCU, a mobile application, and various sensors for patient monitoring. This system is an efficient and low-cost system, so doctors can advise patient caregivers to purchase and use this system. The system has many features, such as monitoring various parameters of the patient's body and sending them to the cloud. Then use the mobile application to get the data from the cloud and display it on the screen. Dispensing of the medicines to the patient. You can also use the mobile app to keep a record of health parameters. By reviewing these values displayed on the screen, the doctor can prescribe additional treatments or medications to the patient.

Project Objectives

Due to the increasing elderly population, telemedicine is an important service. Providing seamless health monitoring and supporting human life is a new challenge as it requires a perfect network of medical devices, personnel, and service providers. To meet this challenge, low-power, low-cost smart wearable devices need to be designed. Most importantly, it's more reliable. These wearable devices greatly enhance the quality of medical care. The technology provided by the Internet of Things helps improve healthcare facilities. IoT-based wearable devices are used to collect the required data from the user side and transfer it to the cloud for further processing and storage. We will make further decisions based on this data.

The population of the world is increasing because of the larger illnesses that affect modern healthcare structures. To entertain so many patients require many doctors, nurses and hospital beds.

Project Implementation Method

•Firstly, we created a tentative timeline.

•Then we did literature review.

•Secondly, we did component testing and validated data.

•We interfaced sensors with LCD.The system records patient health parameters such as heart rate and oxygen levels.

•Gathered the data and uploaded it on firebase.

•We are in the process of designing an app on the android studio which will show the health parameters of patients on real-time bases and notify the doctor when there is an abnormality.

•We will connect the app with Firebase.

For dispensing the medicine we will use servo motors.

Benefits of the Project

 These improved technologies offer solutions to various social and economic problems. The Internet of Things has machine-to-machine communication, exchanging information and providing great work. It improves the life cycle and transforms the medical community. Healthcare services are becoming more authentic and systematic through the Internet of Things platform. It collects useful data from users and makes wireless communications and processing to make decisions. This type of association allows the design of devices that attach to external devices, prevent certain unwanted actions (such as heat stroke), and facilitate immediate or urgent care. Over time, more and more elderly people will need telemedicine.

This project will deal in monitoring different parameters of a patient’s body and sending information to the cloud using a wireless network.

Patients will be given basic aid and readily available in time of need. Basic treatment that was at the hospitals is now in approach.

It would be especially in areas where there are poor medical facilities.

It will be user-friendly which means a person having little knowledge can easily use it.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The author's goal is to use IoT capabilities to provide patients with the best healthcare system. The system records patient health parameters such as heart rate and oxygen levels. Then these recorded measurements are sent to the mobile phone with the help of Bluetooth and these values are sent to the cloud via the internet on the mobile phone. When the value goes beyond the threshold, an automatic alert message is generated and sent to your doctor.

Deliverables may include registering a patient makes it easier to observe the results. Collecting data, storing it in the cloud, examining and making decisions by doctors, and finally establishing contact with the patient via mobile phone or laptop, proposing preventative measures and medications can be a daunting task.
