Technology intervention for better user experiences in religious or spiritual practices has become a new
focus for researchers from dierent disciplines. In dierent religions, prayer time is maintained with
importance in prayer houses such as in mosques, temples, churches, etc. Muslim perform ve-time prayer
in a day and prayer is performed at a xed time in a day. Therefore, mosques maintain two type of
times named Owakt time and Jamaat time. We designed a low-cost Internet of Things (IoT) based smart
prayer time management system so that an attendee of the mosque doesn't have to physically interact
with the clock to make themselves aware of the prayer times or the updated times. They can make
themselves aware of the prayer times of any city just through a web server.

Connection of digital clock with Arduino.
Connection of Arduino and server through Ethernet shield
Google mapping.

Project Implementation Method

Masjid clocks have been designed before but it always needed improvement. Few steps have been taken
to make it compatible with digital world and to further facilitate the people. Clock output pins are to
be connected with Arduino's sensory pins so that they can sense any change made to the prayer times.
Following Arduino clock connection, a web server is to be made so that we can put or upload all the
content (prayer times of dierent mosques). To make Arduino connection with the server several devices
can be employed. The last step is to design a code that uploads the updated times or in other words
changes the prayer times, which would already be uploaded, to the server.
