Project Summary

ECG is the first step to detecting the abnormality in the heart. It is very important to have a portable solution that can help people to get their ECG signals to analyze and consult with a doctor. In our project, We are not just dealing with ECG we are also working on PPG to check Blood Oxygen Saturation Level and Heart Rate. Our project is also IOT based project that helps patients to send ECG signals to doctors and have a history of their ECGs on the internet.

Project Objectives

  1. To make IoT-based, accurate, portable, and low-cost ECG and PPG.
  2. The Device will be able to collect the ECG and PPG signal for further analysis/diagnostics.

Project Implementation Method

It is based on research and implementation like learning from any online source and implementing it in hardware and software according to our requirements. Learning from different sources like researching on the internet like if we are working on a microcontroller first we will learn about its syntax language then we will see its GPIOs., ADC, and then implement it on the board.

Benefits of the Project

  • Wireless monitoring and recording of patient's heart rate.
  • It Could be used at home 
  • Beneficial for people in Remote areas!
  • Avoidance of bacterial infection due to the use of multiple wires!

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Final deliverable includes

Complete Embedded ECG device consists of microcontrollers like (ESP8232, Arduino, and STM) for collecting the data using ADC and doing further processing of the signal. The ECG and PPG data are being collected using sensors like AD8232 and Pulse Sensor. Our device also consists of a display screen and IOT support.
