Project Summary

The automotive industry in Pakistan is the one of the fastest-growing industries of the country, accounting for 4% of Pakistan's GDP and employing a workforce of over 1.8 million people. Currently, there are 3,200 automotive manufacturing plants in the country. With that there is no proper platform available in Pakistan from where people can control their vehicle through a mobile app. Most of the time it is hard to find any person who has a similar key when you loose your car keys and people get remained stuck.Secondly,keeping in mind law and order situation of our city people hesitate to ask some random people and people hesitates to give their car keys to some random people as well. Travelling along the highways is some experience every one of us will experience and cherish in their lifetime. We might also plan and make all the necessary precautions to make the journey safe and smooth. However, in any unfortunate & unforeseen event occurs and you either leave your keys inside the locked car or somehow the key is broken then what we need is a quick solution so to avoid unnecessary complications or get stranded in the middle of the road.

For solving these major problems we decided to make an android app Easy Key.With the help of this users will be able to control their some of the very important car features through an application. Our goal is to ensure that one gets the prompt assistance they deserve during such situation. Easy Key is an android app that will be developed on android, by using this app user can avail any offered service.

Project Objectives

  1. User can Unlock our car using the app.
  2. User can start the car engine using the app.
  3. User can lock and unlock the doors using the app.
  4. Emergency message incase of an accident.
  5. User can turn the headlights On/Off using the app
  6. User can use horn using the app.

In Future we might add these features as well:

      1.   We would turn ON the car A/C using the app.

      2.   We would enable anti-theft protection mode.

The Method we will be following will have agile Methodology, 
1.2     Tools
The tools and applications used by the team for this project:
a)    Document Development: Microsoft Office Word
b)    Hardware: Arduino,PCB,Sensors,Cables,Mobile Phone. 
c)    Development:  Android Studio,Python.

Benefits of the Project

  1. If somehow, you have lost the keys of your car or left the keys inside of the car so then you can unlock the doors of car using our android app.
  2. If the car key is broken and you are not able to start the car, so you can simply start the engine through the app.
  3. If you suspect that anyone is near your car,you can horn to scare the people.
  4. You can turn the headlights On if you need light especially when you are camping.
  5. If the car goes into an accident so a emergency message will be sent to the alternate number user added.User can cancel that message within 10 sec if user is okay.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

1.Starting the engine of the car through the app.

2.Emergency message incase of an accident.

3.Lock/Unlock car doors through the app.

4.Turn headlights ON/OFF through the app.

5.Horn through the app.

6.Seperate account for every user.
