The world population growth is increasing the demand for food production. Furthermore, the reduction of the workforce in rural areas and the increase in production costs are challenges for food production nowadays. Moreover, agriculture requires a lot of water for farming and world reservoirs of water are drastically going down all across the globe. People, around the world, started looking into different ideas of growing their own food. But limited space availability and continuous monitoring of plants or crops are the hurdles in the implementation of this idea of self sufficient in food production.
Project Objectives
As we understand that the green house contains the environmental parameters which include humidity, temperature, moisture, sunlight and many others. And once in a while what happen, due to the lack of knowledge among farmers, they may be no longer capable of perform their activities with accuracy. And the green house system helps in boosting the efficiency. And thus our system are based to perform such activities that are to monitor and control the system from a particular place which would take care of weather inside the green house.
Project Implementation Method
Internet of Things (IoT) is an automated environment in which devices such as sensors, actuators etc. communicate with each other through internet and perform the desired task with minimum human intervention. IoT can be an ideal solution for smart farming where human being can grow and monitor their plants or crops with the help of smart devices, sensors and actuators. This will not only reduce the human efforts and times, giving them a chance to grow in small spaces like terraces and rooftops, but will save water resources as well
