As the name of the project employs that this project is about to make or try to make a study interactive, effective and attractive for the students. There are such problems with students in our society that we neglect and do not take any step to support them or to understand them. This project will have some special features that will help us to accomplish our main goal which is to make reading and learning easy especially for students suffering from Dyslexia.
In this project, we use Augmented Reality as our main idea and concept to enhance the quality of the study. Here we transform an informative book into Augmentation that will make the content of the book more eye-catching and easily understandable.
We are using both 2D and 3D models to elaborate on the content, including both texts and diagrams, in the form of Augmentation.
There are some main features I want to mention here that will make our project capable to make learning easy for Dyslexia students.
1. Students will be able to see static texts and diagrams of the book in an Animated form that will make the procedural learning more effective and attractive for them.
2. Deficient to focus on words or on a particular line while reading is the main issue of Dyslexia students. Our application will make them able to focus by highlighting each line.
3. If the student gets stuck on any hard words then he/she can also get the audio pronunciation of that particular word or line or even complete content.
We are trying our level best to help out the students on their educational side as we believe that education plays a vital role in the progress of not only an individual but the nation.
Aims and Objectives of the Project:
1. Development of an Interactive Study based on Augmented Reality for teaching, reading and listening.
2. This project is based on AR technology and so that the user can interact with both the Real- life objects and Virtual objects at the same time.
3. The project aims to address the educational loopholes in the educational sector of Pakistan with the literacy rate falling to 65%, helping shape the way of education in Pakistan.
4. A framework lying in the best interests of the remedial students who have difficulty in reading and writing. With restrictive cognitive abilities. They have difficulty in processing information which can be solved through our
Interactive Study via AR project.
5. Interactive Study via Augmented Reality project will play a vital role for Medical trainings assisting in Laparoscopic procedures, Cardiology and neurosurgery.
6. Development of an Interactive Study via AR project is intended to help students with dyslexia to overcome their fear of Mispronouncing names or words, or problems retrieving words.
7. The aim of this project is to restore the emotional wellbeing and confidence of students so they fit in normal classrooms.
The methodology to create an Interactive Study Application based on Augmented Reality is all about creation and integration of things.
Research Work:
First we have researched by visiting few different educational institutes in order to understand the problems faced by Dyslexia students or even ordinary students while studying. We also have read some literature online and discuss with our old school teachers and at last we conclude that the core issue of students while studying is lack of concentration due to unattractive text books.
Selection of Book or Content:
So we have selected the book and then its content based on texts and images which we were going to convert in Augmented Reality.
2D and 3D Models:
Then we will create the illustrations (few of them will be 2D models and few will be 3D models to get the exposure of both) of the triggered images in the book on which we want to apply Augmentation.
2D and 3D Animations:
Then we will create 2D and 3D animations by sculpturing, texturing, rigging and rendering of above illustrations respectively.
Development of an Application:
Now the integration of Augmented Reality, occurs by importing animated frames in the development platform of Augmented Reality and integrating them with their respective triggered images by using programming concepts of
Augmentation so that the device camera can respectively recognize those targeted images on which we want to implement Augmentation.
Embeding Audio:
We will also embed voiceovers which will provide the audio if the student want to listen what is he reading which will help him/her to pronounce things in a correct manner as well.

It will implement Augmentation on the image by perceiving
through camera.
For few of the images there will be 2D Augmentation and for few of the images there will be 3D Augmentation.
Content audio will be played with Augmentation on click.
