Intelligent Agricultural Harvest Monitoring and Control
Our project is IOT based project which consist of multiple sensor dealt with a server scripting to provide real-time values to the database from which the user can access the current situation of the field to control it according to the requirements. The sensors that are we are using provides the user remote access to the surrounding environment of the field like temperature (Two types of temperatures 1) Field temperature 2) Environment temperature), humidity, moisture and remote motor control such as if the temperature exceeds a certain threshold or the moisture is less than the required the scripts will deal with it in two ways one automatic and second manually to switch on the motor or switch it OFF. For the water we are using PH-scale to determine that is the water that is to be provided to the field is good enough for the field or not. If the water is not good enough the user will be suggested to add the required chemical or solution to make the water useable for the field for better growth.
As the main focuses of our project is greenhouse so we have taken in consideration and are currently working on the light that the plants or a field require like some fields or plants require a certain amount of light that is essential for their health so we are using the light sensors which detects the values related to the field and provide feedback upon which certain actions are to performed like switching on the artificial lights that meet the requirements (like specially in the seasons where the climate is mostly cloudy). And also dealing with the concern of heat in greenhouses like installing exhaust fans to reduce the heat and can also be dealt by opening the greenhouse shutters to let the air flow in. We are also working to measure the fertilizers nutrients but for now it out of our scope.
The 2nd part of our project to provide remote access of all these sensors. The user is not bound to be present on the field to monitor the field. And can access from anywhere in the world. Access from using mobile app that can show, measure and generate alerts to the required reading from the server. Every sensor has its own history and control, providing the user about the past readings and to set the related actions in accordance. The app contains of a signup page as well that if admin has more people with whom the user wants to share the related information so the user will be able to provide access to the other users or register the users. There is one admin option to register the users for security purposes.
The goal of smart agriculture research is to ground a decision making support system for farm management. A system that optimizes and examines how high-tech farming can aid the production output as well as focuses on the preservation of resources. By providing them with the benefits of technological advancements, smart agriculture aims to reduce the heavy workload of the farm workers, hence improving their quality of life. Smart farming deems it necessary to address the issues of population growth, climate change and labor that has gained a lot of technological attention, from planting and watering of crops to health and harvesting.By this we can save tons of field that was wast by mismanagement and lack of supervision.
we are using raspberry pi as raspberry pi is fast enough to handle complex anlysis of field and controll multiple sensors and communicate with them .
These are sensors which we are using

4) water level sensor 5) ph sensor 6 ) light detection sensor 7) field temperature sensor 8) motor pumps 9 ) exhaust fans
all these sensor connect with raspberry pi and in raspberry pi we are using python for scripting we will automate all the sensors as per the requirements of filed .we are using firebase real-time database we periodically upload the data at firebase and then access the data from firebase into mobile application using API's we also store some data into the mobile app for history
Agriculture is considered as the basis of life for the human species as it is the main source of food grains and other raw materials. It plays vital role in the growth of country’s economy. It also provides large ample employment opportunities to the people. Growth in agricultural sector is necessary for the development of economic condition of the country. Unfortunately, many farmers still use the traditional methods of farming which results in low yielding of crops and fruits. But wherever automation had been implemented and human beings had been replaced by automatic machineries, the yield has been improved. Hence there is need to implement modern science and technology in the agriculture sector for increasing the yield. Most of the project use sensors which collect the data from different types of sensors and then send it to main server using wireless protocol. The collected data provides the information about different environmental factors which in turns helps to monitor the system. Monitoring environmental factors and field run time analysis of nutrients will help to increase field growth..
As per the plan all the sensors will install and connect with raspberry pi ,then we communicate with sensors using python script for automation.It wil consist of all these sensors and raspberry pi and LCD for administration view and control.
We will provide a full fledge mobile application to farmer user can use this application to control the field .user wil sign in using credentials after logging in user have control to access the field sensors ,user can see the water level and on/off the pump accordingly or select automatic on/off .user can check the PH value by of water which is supplying to field and see recommendations of how to balance the PH of water.
Overall all the sensors will be showing there data on applicaton and providing control to user for check-in balance.
