Previously home security systems meant having an alarm that would go off when somebody would break in but a smart secure home can do much more than that. Therefore the main objective of our work is to design a system which can alert the owner and others of an intruder break-in by sending a notification to their smart phones. The owner will also have the ability to stop or start the alarm remotely using just his smart phone. This system will help the users to safeguard their homes by placing the system on the doors or windows and monitoring the activity through their smart phones.
Home Security Systems are a need of the modern day houses. It is possible to design a simple home security solution by using Raspberry Pi and utilizing the power of Internet of Things. The home security system designed in this project is a simple and easily installable device built using Raspberry Pi 3, Web Cam and PIR Motion Sensor. The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B comes equipped with on-board Bluetooth (BLE) and Wi-Fi (BCM43438 Wireless LAN), so, it can be easily connected with a Wi-Fi Router to access a cloud service.
The device designed in this project can be installed at the main entrance of a house. It detects motion of any visitor with the help of PIR sensor and starts capturing the images with the help of a USB web cam. The images are temporarily stored on the Raspberry Pi and pushed to the Google Cloud from where they are sent as alert to the house owner. So, the user gets the images of any visitor immediately on our custom application where he can check from his smart phone.
Security of lives and properties is very paramount in our society, especially in Nigeria where Insecurity has become a very big problem. It will improved in this work by integrating facial recognition and short messaging services for more secured access control system also known as three steps access control with the advantage of face matching and short message services.
In this project, we are proposing a smart home system that by deep learning algorithm recognizes human activities. With these data, we will train our deep learning model to predict human activities performed inside the home and use these predictions to react to various human activities inside the smart home. We are not just limiting the control with the trained model, but the smart home will also be designed in such a way that the users can control and get all the details of the smart homes in their smartphones in case of emergency or the failure of the above system.
Before smart home technologies can be deployed for these older people, several challenges should be resolved, including data collection, algorithms for activity recognition, etc. This technology can be used wildly in the future if the accuracy is sufficiently higher.
Project Objectives- The main aim of this project is to design and develop a security system that includes features such as motion detection, image processing and emailing or SMS to company’s owner and also automation.
- Improvement of a precise programmed preparing framework, a vital instrument for insurance and security.
- To develop and build a prototype of an electrical investigation system based on Raspberry Pi
- To detect an exact area of motion occurrence, identity notification and highlights it accordingly.
- To design and implement a motion spy camera detection and tracking system for real time video analysis.
- To study and describe how the Raspberry Pi can be interfaced with a motion spy camera detector.
- To study how a Raspberry Pi can be programmed using python code so as to be able to send an email to a prescribed mail hub.
- To configure SMTP server so that the Raspberry Pi can be to communicate via email
- The objective of their research is to develop a mobile smart phone home security system based on information capturing module combined with transmitting module based on 3G technology fused with web applications.

The security system to be designed in this project can be used extensively to monitor facilities for owners. The owner shall be able to monitor their property from wherever they are in the world. It will not replace the use of CCTV and camera surveillance systems but reduce the cost of implementation of a basic security system. This thus will enable small home owners to secure their facility at a cheaper cost.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableAt the end, market will have a full product a CCTV cameras kit. Anyone can install them on their property to operate one can download and setup our custom android application and also we will provide web application for desktop flavor.
