Our project is related to video calling without internet this is android based application. In this application we can introduce one to one video and voice calling within a range.  This project provides video message when all means of network are slanted. it provides non terminating accessible video streaming without any central accessed point with the help of Wi-Fi direct technology on smart phone. through the android app all members in the group connect to the group leader they follow the instruction given by the group leader he can connect with any other member of the team to get instructions .For this purpose AODV protocol is used .if a person is unable to send his request to the server by using AODV he can send his message  to other members in a group and as a result  of the reply  he can  come to know how far he is from the server and which group member can send his message to server more quickly. The system is used as a medium of communication e.g. rescue operations, disaster scenarios etc.

Project Objectives

Enable the communication in Disaster scenarios where cellular networks are not available

Alternate way of communication on Ad-hoc basis using antennas of cell phone

Manage group communication to enable company commander to members in the troop doing rescue efforts

Efficently disseminate the emergency messages from members to group leaders or even to peers as well

Project Implementation Method

The android application is offered that provides video calling over Wi-Fi direct when other communication fails. This android application delivers all three basic forms of communication text, video and audio. The video streaming is non-terminating as scalability and adaptive technique are added in it. To increase the range of WIFI direct and ADHOC network is made using AODV protocol. The AODV protocol is used to find the shortest path and thus the message is forward on the path until it reaches the destination. Scalable video coding and forwarding can be mutually consolidated to achieve viably the most ideal nature of video gushing administration. Our project focuses mainly on Wi-Fi Direct along with SVC and forwarding technique. Scalable video coding and forwarding techniques are combined in this project to achieve the best possible quality of video streaming services. Forwarding technique enables us to provide communication to those clients that do not come in server circle. To bring them in the range of server and enable them to send their message to server we used forwarding technique. With the help of that they can send their message to the person that is in the range of server and who can ultimately have sent the message to server.

Benefits of the Project

The audio/video communication using android application can provide adaptable and non-ending video communication.

Provides alternate mechanism for communication in disater and flood scenarios

Inetermediate member are involved to send his message to the server even if the group member fails to connect directly to the server.

An army comapny commander can keep intact with recue memebrs of the troop. Emergency reporting can be made possible to provide first aid, food, drinks or medicine etc.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

 

Final deleiverable will ensure the peer to peer connectivity with discovery service.

Application can send the text messaging if needed.

In the voice/video calling mode, member nodes can relay the audio/vidoe data via intermediaries that just route the packet over best path using neighboring devices.

In video calling, the encoding of video takes place at client side and then streamed over the server mobile that performs decoding to render data.
