The aim of this project is to build a cheaper exercise bicycle that will generate energy too. The energy will be added to the home electricity. Additionally, the exercise will be augmented with virtual reality where a person will exercise with fun.  

Our mind is very reluctant in doing things that are extensive and requires hard work. In Pakistan, being fit does not seems to be of
priority to the people which in return is causing huge problems in overall health and early death ratio.  What we have come through is an idea which entertains the user who is exercising and additionally it will generate energy too.

We will provide an indoor exercising bicycle that is connected with an AR vision. The AR will provide realistic tourism points of Pakistan and also some interacting racing and exercise games. The AR is connected with the bicycle's pedal so whenever the user pedals he/she will move through in sceneries or in racing games. The more the user pedals the better he moves ahead and experiences beautiful places.  With time we will add more stuff which will always make room for something new every day. This way exercise is going to be fun. The paddles of the bicycle will also be connected with electronic batteries to produce charge and contribute to home electricity.

Project Objectives

Some of the major objectives of our projects are

  1. Frame the ordinary bicycle to work as an exercise machine
  2. Design the paddles of the bicycle to work as the exercise bicycle
  3. Connect the designed bicycle with virtual reality (VR) glasses to make the exercise fun
  4. Connect the paddles with the charging batteries, as the user paddles to produce the energy
  5. Program the virtual sceneries so the user can exercise in the environment of their wish
  6. Connect the racing games with the paddles of the bicycle, so the user paddles fast he/she can win the game. To create an environment where health is considered a top priority.
  7. To successfully commercialize and make availability of our product to everyone.
Project Implementation Method

The implementation method will be

  1. Change an ordinary bicycle to a fitness machine to make it cheaper to produce and for everyone.
  2. Design the paddles like a racing bicycle.
  3. We will connect sensors to the bicycle. The sensors are pressure sensors, motion sensors, and flow sensors. These sensors sense every activity you carry out by the bicycle and generate a signal to VR which then will work accordingly.
  4. Connect the paddles with the batteries to generate charge and produce energy to store.
  5. Games and sceneries are designed as interactive to VR according to the motion of your exercise.
  6. The 3D world present inside your AR will work according to the motion of your bicycle.  Various games and sceneries will be freely available and many of them will be subscription and payment based.

The key benefits of our projects are

  1. High rate of general fitness and weight loss to make a healthy Pakistan, the exercise bike has long been used for physical therapy because of the low impact, safe, and effective cardiovascular exercise it provides.
  2. Our project will make cycling a daily habit with its life-giving(refreshment) 3D environment.
  3. Doing exercise will be just like game playing. Doing more will raise to the next level.
  4. The exercise will generate cheaper energy.
  5. Our project is profitable for the business world as our system includes multiple games and it will be cheaper so everyone can buy.  Exercise for everyone.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The sensors we are going to use will be connected to both bicycle and AR glasses.
