The uses of energy have evolved as humans have changed patterns of energy consumption. Recent concerns over the limited supply of fossil fuels and the green-house gases released by fossil-fuel combustion have spurred efforts to utilize renewables resources- sunlight to meet energy demands. At this time, renewable sources of energy, or renewables, have enormous potential to reduce the negative impacts of energy use and to increase the domestic resource base. Solar energy is the most abundant stream of energy.It has been observed over the years that power instability has caused companies to lose millions of dollar each time there is power failure, as a result of the time lag between power failures and when power is restored. This can be seen clearly in companies like telecommunications, breweries, cold rooms to mention but a few.For that case, this project provides an automatic operation of the rapid and reliable transfer of the system from one power source to another during specific events such as when the load useage is higher it automatically shift to K.E from Solar energy and vice versa.Another main motive of this project is to develop an application in mobille which can decide that which power we want to use at that particular time either solar or K.E.
i) The main objective of an ATS is to ensure the continuous delivery of electrical power from one of two power sources to a connected load circuit.
ii) Handling any source of power at all can yield detrimental results. Employees can be harmed by a sudden outage, and handling a manual generator hookup can be disastrous—especially in the dark! A transfer switch handles all of your needs all on its own, removing the dangers associated with an outage entirely.
iii) one of the objjective of Automatic transfer switch is to switching between two relays, that is depend on our system’s current ranges, for example when current range is between 0 to 0.49 then switch to battery, otherwise when current range between 0.5 to infinite then switch to K.E.
iv) Upon the installation of your automatic transfer switch, specific operations are chosen to be automatically powered. This can be everything from your lights, to HVAC systems, industrial equipment, or even refrigerators.

The methodology to make this project are described in steps below:
I) The first step is literature study. At this stage, a search for previous research is carried out, then look for the characteristics, working principles of each component that will be used, and the provisions in the design process.
II) The next step is the design and assembly of the tools. The activities carried out are collecting data, making block diagrams, determining components, designing wiring systems, and making box designs. After the design of the tool has been formed perfectly, it is tested. Tests are carried out to ensure that the system can actually work and is in accordance with what was designed.
III) The next step is data collection. The purpose of collecting this data is to determine the system's response to be designed and the system's reliability is made. Data retrieval can also be one of the determining variables whether the system can work properly or not.
IV) Tests are carried out on the software and directly whether the circuit is running well and according to the research needs.
V) The stage of testing the entire system is the final stage in the process of making this system. This is because the design process does not always go well. There is a possibility of an error in the wiring system design process, so it is indispensable to do a test to ensure the system can run properly.
VI) The main step is to make an mobile app which can control which power we want to utilize at that particular time whether solar or KE.
The benefits that can be gain through this project are as follows:
i) Replace fossil fuels with a less expensive and sustainable technology that doesn’t pollute the environment or affect the global climate.
ii) Automatic transfer switch is much safer and help us to convert energy source with respect to load.
iii) Labour cost will be less and ATS will save time to a great extend.
iv) ATS will save us the money by converting to renewable energy when the load is high.
In each home, office or enterprises, programmed power changeover assumes an essential part, or at least, It gives a method for changing from utility AC mains to generator on account of when load is increase or when we want to use that particular power source.To enable the automatic operation and transfer of power supply between a public utility supply and a solar system has been designed. The ATS which is a switch gear control switching of power supply between a primary source and secondary source. This project present a real laboratory design and construction of ATS. The design method involves the use of different relays. The ATS designed demonstrates its ability to perform automatic power changeover activities easily without any human interaction.There have been many studies related to Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) which have been done in different time periods.This research discusses how making ATS and finding out how the working principles that occur in ATS so that when ATS are completed, the hope is that it can make it easier to operate the generator automatically without operator intervention.
