Proteins are of significance importance as they not only constitute our body but also are vital to our life, as change in sequence of amino acid or in structural configuration leads to different diseases including cancer. Study of Protein at cellular level will help us to understand its activities. In proteomics, transmembrane proteins have a
significant place because of the functions which it
performs as they acts as cell-surface receptors in which it binds molecules in extracellular space and generates many other intracellular signals. Our project deals with the implementation of artificial intelligence to find out the location of transmembrane proteins.

Project Objectives

To identify the location of transmembrane protein as the location of a protein is directly associated with the function it performs.

1.Selection of Database
2. Removal of inconsistent data
3. Feature Extraction
4. Use of appropriate classifier for finding the
location
5. Cross Validation of the classifier to check the
accuracy of the proposed design
