This project is focused on following the commands given to the robot by the humans through gestures. The robot mimics the user's actions. Users can directly communicate with the computer just by relying on body movements and thus control the actions of the robot in real time. To communicate and perform successful operations we use a 3D depth sensor camera, Motion controller, gesture to motion transformer, and gesture recognizer.
The goal of this project is to assist users. There might be some situations where humans can’t survive and couldn’t tackle, as in the explosives industry and also in the military that must dispose of or handle explosives. The same scenario is in mining. Robots can assist them in accomplishing these tasks.
Robots can help in emergency situations where human life is at risk. As in Bomb disposal, war situations, fire sites. Human life is at a really big risk, we can perform these tasks efficiently without any life cost with the help of robots. The robot can help elderly people. We are going to design such a system (i.e. Robot) that performs basic human movements by following human gestures. There are various challenges along the way to complete this project. We are going to solve these challenges. However, there are some “engineering challenges” considerations to take into account when manipulating a specific object by robotic, coordinated manipulation strategy selection.
