Thereby the number of hostels is also increasing for the accommodation of the students studying in this institution. Most of the newly established educational institutions however are using the old conventional techniques for managing their assets, especially hostel facilities. These old techniques with their inherent limitations have impacted negatively the overall organizational efficiency of these educational systems. The system attempts to improve institutions’ hostel services for stakeholders - administrators, management, and students of the hostel Hostel tracking system will help students to find the best hostel in less time and effort. The hostel tracking system will help hostel owners to reduce manual work for management. It will help to enhance the reputation of the hostels.

Project Objectives

• To introduce a hostel tracing system for students
• To allow searching and localization of hostels in a vicinity with the required information
• Ease the manual process of searching hostels
• Provide information regarding rent, room and mess details and other associated costs

Project Implementation Method

This particular project deals with tracking & managing a hostel and avoids the problems, which occur when carried out manually. We are developing a web-based hostel tracking system where users can check the location of hostels and also check rooms' mess and hostel dues. This system will be developed by using PHP and JavaScript for the backend and HTML CSS and bootstrap for the frontend. It will be used for managing the complex data of any hostel through the internet. Any person who is the owner of a hostel or a group of hostels can use it to decrease the complexity of its hostel management and reduce stress.

Students can find hostels and their locations easily and they can check all the facilities that hostels are offering.
