Honey proteins as biostimutlators for seed germination
Project Area of Specialization Biomedical EngineeringProject SummaryThis project's major goal is to see how honey proteins affect seed germination. to determine the chemical composition of honey and its effects. Honey contains which proteins? Honey helps seeds germination. Honey proteins have an important role in controlling germination speed, according to our findings. the experiment was performed on pea plant. control vs 1% honey concentration vs 3% honey concentration vs 6% honey concentration. the results that were obtained were 1% honey had the fastest rate of seed germination. 3% honey concentration was at the second place . at third place was control sample and 6% was the fourth . this experiment was repeated three times. the results were concluded that specific concentration of honey have vital role in seed germination.Proteins from honey were extracted. Honey proteins' chemical makeup was examined. The rate of seed germination was next tested using honey proteins.Honey proteins of 1%, 3%, and 6%, as well as control samples, were employed. The experiment was carried out three times. It was shown that 1% honey proteins are responsible for the majority of seed germination.
Project ObjectivesThe goal of this study is to determine the influence of honey on seed germination, the effect of honey proteins on seed germination, seed growth, plant yield, and plant survival in difficult conditions.
Project Implementation MethodAutoclave, dish technique, PTC method, seed germination by paper towel method, ammonium sulphate precipitation method, gel electrophoresis method, data gathering, and data analysis are some of the methods used in this study.
Benefits of the ProjectThis project's benefit will be
In a short period of time, the new plantlets can be developed.
Only a modest quantity of plant tissue is necessary at the start.
Viruses and illnesses are less likely to infect the young plantlets and plants.
The procedure is not seasonal and can be carried out at any time of year. enhancing mineral bio-availability and improving crop functional characteristics
We will offer plants that are virus and fungus free, that can be cultivated in any season, that have complete bio availability, that are rich in minerals, proteins, and carbohydrates, and that have improved functional properties.
