The COVID-19 Pandemic has changed the way we view the education sector. The necessity to deliver education through electronic means and to approach teaching in a different way has opened up additional opportunities for teachers and students.

We have come up with a solution of providing quality education at home via a mobile and web application. This will allow students to easily access guidance and gain proper understanding of subjects without having to see someone face to face. This allows for quicker access to help and the choice of tutors/private teachers specialising in relevant subject fields. The app will also allow users to check the rating of the tutor before choosing their services.

Project Objectives

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, our perspective on the education sector has changed. As a result of the need to deliver education by using electronic methods and changing the way we approach teaching, students and teachers are now able to take advantage of new opportunities. 

Objective of this project is to bridge the gap between the students and the tutors as getting a tutor for your child is a hassle and it is difficult to find someone with the right expertise, experience and someone trustworthy. By letting parents see their tutor's rating based on previous tutoring they will be able to build trust and transparency.

Shortly, the app allows parents/students to register themselves on the platform and post their required tuition. The posting will be viewed by a number of tutors who can apply. The student may try out a free demo to decide what works best for him. In terms of business, it will be a subscription-based model for students and a commission-based model for tutors.

Project Implementation Method

* Project Management will be handled by the team lead using agile methods and Jira tools.
* We will be using Flutter and dart for frontend development.
* We will be using Firebase for backend development.
* We will be using sqlite to persist data.
* Tools: Android Studio and Visual Studio Code.

Benefits of the Project

1) Easy Registration
With a single-click sign up option, students can register using their email address or social media account. Once the registration process finishes, students can use other options to find nearby tutors or join a session. 

2) Search Tutors
Based on your specific requirements (course, subject, timings, exams, and topic) pupils can search for tutors teaching the course of their interest. To narrow down the searches, students can use various filters by selecting the category, experience, and subject expertise of the tutor.

3) Check Tutor Review and Other Details
The tutor profile includes information about their experience, expertise on a particular subject, and more. The section also comprises reviews and ratings given by other students. 

4) In-app Chat Messenger
Most of the on-demand tutor app comes up with an in-app chat messenger to allow students to communicate with tutors and vice-versa. Students can ask questions about the fee structure, class timings, the learning process, etc.

5) Submit Feedback
Almost all the on-demand tutor applications have this option of submitting ratings and reviews about the tutor. The feedback submitted by students help other students to know about the tutor.

6) Push Notification
The feature is mainly available for the administrators to send automatic alerts regarding any change in the schedule of the class, payment of a course, tutor availability, new course launches, and more.

7) Creating Profile
Profile setup is similar to the one available for the students. By setting up your profile, which requires entering your teaching experience, subject expertise, etc., tutors can make their portfolio.

8) Accept or Decline Requests
This feature enables tutors to accept or reject the request for a class or new course made by students.

9) Modify Bookings
With this feature, tutors can make changes to the bookings of tuitions that were booked previously or are active now.

10) Schedule a Class
Schedule a class option helps tutors to book a class and notify students about the same.

11) Change Class Timings
Any change in the timings of an already booked class can be done using this option.

12) Provide Notes
Users will have access to notes from different institutes to help them in a efficient way.

13) Payment Method
Users will have various methods for payment transactions that is via bank transfer, cards and online payment method.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

* Project Management will be handled by the team lead using agile methods and Jira tools.

* We will be using Flutter and dart for frontend development.

* We will be using sqlite to persist data.

*Adding payment method`s APIS (method for payment transaction) i.e bank transfer, card (visa, mastercard), and online transactions like payoneer, easypaisa, jazzcash etc.

* Purchase a DNS from godaddy.com to deploy our application.

* Tools: Android Studio and Visual Studio Code.

*Assuring the quality of application and trying to minimize bugs as much as possible.

*Testing the app by testers to find necessary improvements before deploying it on the DNS we purhcased.
