Home Automation can be categorized into two types, wire system, and wireless system. In the wiring system, all the devices are connected to a central point using wires. In the wireless system, there are two elements are used which are sender and receiver.
In this project, we are implementing the mechanism of controlling home appliances smartly by using the Wi-Fi module ESP8266 which will give the internet access and we can connect through the internet. When we will enter the IP address of the Wi-Fi module into the web browser, we will be able to control any appliances. In our case, we are using the circuit connected through the relay which will provide the switching mechanism and we will control it through the network. We are using a touch screen display that will be synchronized with our App and Web. When the user will connect the android app to the internet and user will press the buttons to ON and OFF the home appliances then the signal will forward to the Wi-Fi module and the Wi-Fi module will send it to Arduino. Arduino will ON and OFF the appliances according to the instructions from the user.
