We will build a system for wireless communication. In this project, we will develop a home automation system using Arduino and wireless module NRF24L01. We will also use GSM Module for wirelessly controlling our devices. We will also use GPS Module to find the location of the house. So that necessary actions may be taken.

  1. We shall implement this automation using Arduino, GSM, NRF24L01 module and different sensors. And control this via SMS.
  2. Send/Monitor the status of the connected appliances to a specified mobile number using GSM.
  3. Turn ON/OFF the device by sending commands.
Project Objectives

The aim of this project was to build a home automation system so that the householder could dial into their house with a modem, from the office or even the other side of the world, and control their home appliances. 

Project Implementation Method
  1. From a safety point of view, we will use gas, fire sensors. Whenever gas leakage is detected this will turn off the main valve (solenoid valve) of your gas supply. Whenever Fire is detected this will turn on fire extinguisher, also it will send an alert message to owner.
  2. When someone enters in house corresponding light and fan will be turned on. One can also control this by sending messages to GSM.
  3. When water tank is full, floating switch will turn off the water pump.
  4. When secure mode is on, no one can enter the house if anyone tries to do so. Alarm will be turned on and an alert message will be delivered to user.
  5. Arduino is used for controlling whole the process. Here we have used GSM & NRF24L01 module for controlling home appliances wirelessly.
