Heart disease detection using deep learning and ECG data
In the developing countries, healthcare industry is growing very rapidly as their public concern is increasing about health. Therefore, nowadays, medical software implementation is one of the major challenges in health care industry. So, in this case it is the matter of someone’s life and is used to increase the patient’s safety and to reduce medical errors.
Our objective is that our software should be able to distinguish between normal ECG and abnormal one. And it should also be capable of finding out heart diseases on the basis of book ‘The ECG made easy’ by Atul Luthra and John R Hampton.Plus our goal is to make a reliable app that will be used in the condition of emergencies and also in medical facilities. User will be able to find out about its heart condition whenever he feels some heart disorder.
Medical specialists examine the heart with the help of ECG. There are devices embedded in our smart phones and watches which can conduct our ECG and give result in seconds. Now, if you have ECG report, these software can only tell you either it’s normal or not and to diagnose your disease you have to visit the doctor. So what actually we are doing here is developing a software which will be able to diagnose briefly that what patient is actually going through and then we will be able to provide first aid to patient properly which has not yet implemented. If a person is conducting checkups on regular basis, it will also help him finding any abnormality and he will be able to reach doctor in time. So it will totally become a helpful tool in emergencies, conducting routine checkups along with helping medical students.
We will build a deep learning model and a web application. We will deploy both these on server. Deep learning model will help users in heart disease detection.. Web application will help user to interact with the system in a more friendly way. User will be able to get pneumonia prediction in one click after uploading ECG picture. Our final product will be web application where deep learning model will be integrated.
