Project Summary

Today wide range of people are engaged in playing games. Games are most common in all the age groups, whether being a kid or a young or it’s an old aged person. Gaming is growing at faster rate day by day in the field of entertainment. As smartphones are in boom, we can see games are moving from boards and ground to hand help screens. The time is going very fast and the technology became the part of everyone’s life. And the Balochi traditional games are not implemented yet. In our society Balochi traditional games are being unknown for our new generation.  Our main motive behind this project is to bring Balochi traditional game 8 Chokki in technology era.  So, we have selected this game for our final year project. There will be a board field and there are four players and every player have 2 pawns, which are not in the game initially and are at home of players. This will create an 8th field cycle from one player home to another where each player has to pass 32 steps to reach destination which is again its home. At every point in time it is the turn of one of the players. Turns rotate according to the cyclic order of players. The player whose turn it is throws an 8-sided Chokk, and moves one of his pawns according to rules. Player entry is when if the chokk shows 8 then both pawns will come out of home if the Chokk comes 4 then only one pawn can come out of home. When a player shuffle chokk then it forwards its pawn according to rules if 4 comes in chokk it forward 4 steps if 8 coms in chokk it will forward 8 steps

Project Objectives

8 Chokki game was played in various kind with physical setup of game for the enjoyment and pleasure, and now it’s being inaccessible from the Baloch society, the main aim of our project to build 8 Chokki traditional Balochi game in smartphones to stable the value of this game in Baloch society. The purpose of this game is for old ages who cannot join the game physically and for children to be aware about game and the feature of this game. By playing this game the player feels the ancient time where their parents played this game with friends

Project Implementation Method

This project is basically implementation of Balochi traditional game 8 Chokki in smartphones. This game is a logical and board type game. The 8 Chokki is used to be played between user and computer as well as between multiplayers. By interacting to 2D field board the user uses his hands to shuffle the Chokk.

higher-level design for this 8 Chokki game using Photoshop and MS word. This design phase covers board field design, players design, Chokk design, Pawn design and strategy.

low-level design including algorithms. and convert the design into coding and implement it using Unity 3D and exporting it for Android smartphones

Benefits of the Project

As the student of computer science, we must make our final year project, which is based on gaming community software’s. There have lots of games in market but Balochi traditional game such as 8 Chokki is not implemented yet. Before this game was played in Baloch society physically

This is a Balochi traditional game. Before it was played physically and going to digitalized the game for new generation to be known and to entertain new generation.
