The purpose of our project is to build a hand gesture recognition system that will provide a better means of communication between deaf and dumb people and normal people. It’ll provide ease in communication. We will add hand gestures pictures in the database. People can use their mobile camera for capturing or recording videos. There will be an option of video calling for ease of communication at any place anytime. The system will perform actions on data and then display output in text and voice. There is a help center in our system where we will give complete guidance on how to use our app?
The objective of this project is to provide complete software that detects, recognizes, and interprets the hand gestures of the person. Also, we want to provide high-speed image processing software at a low cost. Another objective of this project is to provide ease of communication between special people and normal people.
There will be software that captures video and then captures the gestures of people, captured gestures will then translate and after translating, features will extract and match the features with databases and recognize that features. After recognizing, gestures will translate into audio and text.
It'll provide ease of communication between special people and normal people. Normal people can easily understand the actions of special people by using our software. Also, it'll provide high-speed image processing at a low cost.
The final deliverable will be complete software. That can run on a smartphone with a minimum of 4.1 android version. Better camera quality required for capturing the video. Good processor required for high-speed image processing.
